The Public Electric Force Administrative Position (Nepra) on Monday expanded the power cost by Rs1.72 per unit.
With this increment, the cost of one unit of power has arrived at Rs18.16 from Rs16.44. The force customers should bear extra weight of Rs 90 billion.
The furthest down the line increment will be applied uniquely to the purchasers with more than 300 units on the bill. The expanded tax will likewise not be pertinent to K-electric buyers.

PML-N President and Resistance Pioneer in the Public Gathering Shehbaz Sharif requested of the public authority to pull out notice of Rs1.72 raise in the power costs naming it a maladroit.
In an assertion delivered on Monday, Shehbaz said that the public authority was continually tossing thunderclaps of expansion by climbing costs of petroleum, gas and power.
Shehbaz mourned that the public authority couldn't give anything great to the helpless masses with the exception of rising swelling.
